Why Do Teachers Recommend the Cygnet?
When a flute is easier to play and, just as importantly, is a pleasure to practice with, students are much more likely to put in the time and effort required to eventually master it.
“Beautiful flute, amazing tone and easy to get your first sounds out of it. I would highly recommend the McNeela Cygnet Irish Rosewood Flute.” - Haddon Simons

FAQ
How Exactly Does It Work?
Once you’ve purchased, you will be sent login details for our Online Music School. When you login to the course, you can stream the video classes anytime, anyplace, as often as you like and at a speed that suits you.
Each lesson is accompanied with the resource material to make it easier and all resource material is fully downloadable for you to use whenever you like.
“I appreciate that I can pause and restart the class, I can repeat sections that I’m unclear of or I can repeat the entire class as often as I like.” - Mark V
Will this be a subscription or automatically renew?
No, this is a limited-time offer to purchase a set amount of time in our courses. You can sign up or gift it knowing that it is a one-time charge. You or the person you give it to can always choose to subscribe with a separate purchase later, if you want more time.
Do I get all the same lessons and resources?
Yes! It's the exact same, full-access course as a subscription purchase with all the online videos, on-screen prompts, tunes, bonus lessons, and resources in the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of the course.
Is there a Money Back Guarantee?
Yes of course! There's a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee no questions asked ! We're so confident that you'll love this course that if, for any reason, you don't think it's for you, just send us an email within the first 30 days of your subscription and we'll refund you in full.
Can I watch any lesson as much as I like?
You can watch the lessons over and over again and you can move between beginner and intermediate and advanced lessons as much as you like!
Do you address playing solo and in a group?
The course covers both solo playing and session playing. While learning to play solo is easy, playing in a session can be daunting for some, so Tom has created a detailed session package to help you fully prepare for group playing.
Do you need to be able to read music? No, you don't need prior musical knowledge to do these lessons. From day one, Tom will introduce you to basic theory and ABC notation, and while the option of staff notation is available, it is unnecessary to get the most from the course.
What type of accordion do I need? The course is for the button accordion in the key of B/C (21 button minimum) . While there are many topics covered that would be of interest to all accordion players (and more instrumentalists) it wouldn’t have been possible to cater to all types of accordions without confusing everybody. You can see our range of button accordions here.
How do I give it as a gift?
Purchase the course and amount of time you want to gift, and we'll email you all the information your gift recipient needs to sign up when they're ready. You just need to pass it along to them at the right time. We'll even send a PDF of a McNeela Course Gift Voucher for you to print and write the details on, so you have something for them to see in-person, if you'd like.
Can I purchase this for myself?
Of course, this is the perfect way to get a great price on everything you need to finally work on that goal to learn Irish trad music.
Can I (or the person I give it to) start the access at a later date?
You can. You'll get a sign up voucher unique to your purchase in an email shortly after you complete your purchase. So you can start the one, six, or twelve months whenever you're ready.
What if I have other questions?
Our customer service team is here to help! Just reach out and let us know what questions you have.

The Ultimate Irish Button Accordion Masterclass - One-Time Payment
I loved Benny McCarthys masterclass for button accordion. His no nonsense no stress relaxed approach in breaking down every tune into parts with notation and fingering is wonderful and his tribute to Bobby Gardiners teaching is really appreciated. I learned from Bobbys classes in the past and Benny's methods reminded me of the basics again and has been a great help to encourage me to keep going. Thanks Benny. Well done
